The Robert Mello Studio

The Robert Mello Studio is the only acting studio in Atlanta offering complete Meisner-based training by an instructor with over 17 years of teaching experience. Students from The Robert Mello Studio have worked on dozens of hit TV shows, in feature films, Broadway and off-Broadway. Robert has coached winners and nominees of THE GOLDEN GLOBE AWARD® and THE TONY AWARD®.

Robert was the on-set coach for the MTV series, FINDING CARTER. He is the former VP of Development for Hazy Mills Productions (having helped developed their hit show, HOT IN CLEVELAND and GRIMM) and has produced and developed pilots and scripts for FOX, FX, The CW, Showtime and CBS. His experience both in front of, and behind the camera in both producing and casting brings a unique perspective to his classes that few other teachers can offer.

Before students learn audition tricks and the technical demands of acting for film, there must be a solid, well- practiced technique upon which the actor can rely. The Meisner Tecnnique is considered by most to be the best technique for film and stage, as it results in very natural performances.
