Tear, cut and paste! Explore the expressive medium of collage. This camp will focus on different types and approaches to collage. Techniques and practices covered include photomontage, text collage, mixed-media painting, and more! Students are encouraged to experiment with multiple materials and media.
Fun with Paper and Paint: Nature Collages (Ages 9-13)

Create abstract artworks based on themes of nature. Compose collages comprised of interesting papers such block-printed, marbled, and Japanese rice papers, including some collage papers we’ll create ourselves through different techniques! We then work on our collages with paint and/or leaves and flowers in a variety of ways, such as painting through stencils, printing with wood-blocks, and adhering plant material.
