Victor Marana

Teaches at Performing Arts Studio

Victor began his training as an actor 15 years ago, and later pursued a Master's Degreein Acting and Physical Theatre at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London training with different practitioners focused on multi-disciplinary scenic arts. He has performed around the world in renowned venues like the National Theatre in Mexico, Victory Gardens in Chicago, the Messini Festival in Greece, Sinaia, Romania and has won several awards for his stage performances. As a teacher, Victor first started training actors in Augusto Boal’s technique of the Theatre of the Oppressed alongside Boal’s disciple, David Psalmon. In 2015 he was an associate teacher of award winning director Sandra Felix at the National Library Theatre Workshop, where he was in charge of the vocal and physical training of students. Victor is also a producer- his plays “Exiles” and “The Bald Soprano” have been staged by the National Theatre in Mexico. He is a firm believer of training multidisciplinary artists that can feed and enhance Chicago’s artistic landscape.
