Certified Lean Team Member

Lean is much more than a set of tools.  It is a methodology that draws in the entire organization to improve the way it creates value for the customer.  No standing to the side, no feeling left out, no waiting for the “other guy” to get moving!  This course is specifically designed to allow every employee to be an engaged and active part of any lean improvement.  No matter if it is a full week Kaizen Event, a major Value Stream Transformation or a simple “Just Do It”, lean is a team sport and team members need to feel prepared to perform.  Preparation gives them confidence to make a difference.  

This course will take the team member through all of the fundamental lean tools and with the utilization of simulations, will allow them a fun and safe way to practice.  Hands down, this is one of the best ways to create a bias for action in your organization!  Your only problem will be getting out of the way so that your team can grow while your waste disappears.

Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Recognize situations where Lean methods and tools can be useful to visualize the situation and plan tactical improvements.
• Demonstrate the appropriate application of Lean methods and tools to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of processes for the mutual benefit of customer and staff satisfaction.
• Investigate important advanced scenarios for the application of designed experiments (DOE).
