Description

New York Guitar Academy's guitar program offers small group classes and private lessons in a wide range of styles for the acoustic, classical and electric guitar. We offer classes for kids, teens and adults. We introduce students to all different styles of music, allowing them to get a well-rounded sense of the many ways to play the guitar. Students are given opportunities to perform to set goals, build repertoire and become a confident guitarist!

Philosophy and curriculum designed by graduates from the Music and Music Education department of Columbia University Teachers College and the Berklee College of Music.

Kids Beginner Guitar Level 2 (Manhattan)

Purchased this for nephew, he went to 2 classes and didn't want to go back. He said that they told him his guitar was terrible and that he should look into renting/buying one of the ones they had on site. I felt so bad that they shamed my nephew in that way, made him feel small. I understand that maybe our guitar wasn't the highest of qualities but he's a kid and within the first 2 classes they're just learning the basics. Hardly anything you'd need to rent/purchase($$$$) a new instrument for. He never went back, and I completely forgot to mention it again=money down the drain

Andrew is a very patient teacher. Materials were excellent. Classmates great fun. The New York Guitar Academy sells guitars too - all the staff are pleasant. Cannot recommend this place enough!
