Give as a Gift Book as Private EventIn this intermediate class, students become more deeply involved with the technical aspects of the medium, while at the same time beginning to develop their personal creative vision. Structured to offer a comprehensive knowledge of digital photography workflow, this class addresses everything from capture to process to print.
Assignments include both technical and aesthetic concerns, supplemented by readings that consider the rich tradition of handheld photography and the work of artists such as George Brassai, Diane Arbus, Lee Friedlander, Graciela Iturbide, Gordon Parks, and Robert Adams among others.
What to bring to class:
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

Withdrawals and Transfers
Withdrawal and transfer requests must be sent to [email protected] seven calendar days before the start of a class. All requests are subject to a non-refundable $25 fee. Refunds or credits will not be available after the seven-day grace period. Houston Center for Photography cannot accommodate refunds for life events beyond our control.
Cancellations
Houston Center for Photography reserves the right to cancel classes at any point due to under-enrollment. A full credit or refund will be issued.
Attendance
It is not possible for students to make up a missed class by attending an equivalent class on another day. There are no refunds for missed classes.
