Laura Weinberger

Teaches at Kline Academy of Fine Art

Laura Weinberger is a successful local portrait and concept-storyboard artist. Originally from New York state, Laura hopped a train to LA at 18 to escape cold.  While she's drawn her whole life, the idea of pursuing art full-time didn’t occur to her until a stranger saw her sketching, and demanded she go to art school.  She graduated Summa cum Laude from Laguna College of Art and Design with a degree in Illustration and traditional drawing and painting.  After finishing school, Laura was drawn to the fine art world, and has since shown in galleries across the country from the prestigious Dawson Cole Fine Art galleries to the Hemingway African Gallery in Manhattan.  In the commercial world, her clients include Yahoo, Old Spice, and Jaguar.
 
Planted in both the commercial and fine art worlds, Laura constantly relies on her classical training.  She believes that all people can learn to create something beautiful with the right guidance, a dash of motivation, and a touch of time. Laura is so excited to be joining us here at Kline Academy.
