Description
What you'll learn in this art theory class:
This course is an opportunity for students who are interested in understanding today's contemporary art landscape and want guidance in collecting contemporary art - both in theory and in practice. We will focus on important topics and trends in art history from 1970 through today. Lectures will illustrate how to value art and how to understand and appreciate contemporary art in relation to art history. The course will be moderated by One River School's founder, Matt Ross, and include a series of lectures by some of the most influential curators, gallerists and artists from New York City. Students will also have an opportunity to participate in visits to galleries and museums led by special guests.
Refund Policy
- Students who wish to withdraw from a class or program will receive a full refund upon receipt of notification 15 business days prior to the start of a class or workshop minus a $35 handling fee.
- After the first week of classes, Students can receive a 50% refund.
- No refunds will be issued after the second class.
A full refund will be given if the school cancels a class or the class or workshop is filled before your registration is received.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
