Design Practices: Color Theory

This three week workshop helps designers explore the history, science and application of color theory. 

Color is one of the most important elements in design and culture. From architecture to jewelry to fashion to the web, the way we perceive and use color every day has a huge effect on our lives. Using exercises from the Bau Haus designed by the venerable Johannes Itten and Josef Albers, we’ll explore color relationships and spatial perception through cut paper and collage technique. 

Using color aid paper we can replicate these exercises exactly as students of the Bau Haus would have learned them from the masters there. No experience is necessary, and whether you want to up your game as a pro designer, or just need help picking which color to paint your room, this class has got you covered.
