Description
What you'll learn in this paper class:
Learn how to do basic raw-edge machine applique while making an adorable baby quilt top. A cutting machine will be available for use during the class to quickly cut out heart (or other) shapes from your fabric. This technique is great for embellishing everything from quilts to clothing!
Skill Level: Beginner. Must know how to use a sewing machine.
Cutting mats, sewing machines, neutral thread and iron will be provided for use in the classroom.
Required Supplies: (all supplies are available for purchase at Gotham Quilts)
- 1 yard of background fabric
- Several fat quarters / scraps from stash for applique parts - the greater variety, the better
- 2 yards of heatnbond lite
- spool of monofilament thread
- fabric scissors
- seam ripper
- rotary cutter
- quilting ruler
- optional - pressing sheet
