Eva was a great teacher. The class was a good mix of interesting challenges, examples of techniques, and very low key, relaxing exercises. Great way to get an overview of introductory concepts.

Eric is a patient and insightful teacher. He meets his students at whatever level they are at (in my case a total beginner) and his input over the course really improved my capabilities. I liked the course so much I immediately signed up for the next one. We covered placement, blending, shading, adding volume, shapes, figures and abstract - all essential cornerstones for good drawing.

Unfortunately two of the classes had to be cancelled due to work being done on the building. The class itself was good and I learned a few techniques that helped with how I approach what I see and and actually put on paper. Realized that I need to practice more.

Drawing for Beginners” was an engaging opportunity to get back into drawing. The instructor (Zach Seeger) was adept with the technology and made the experience seamless. He was responsive outside of class too. The pace was manageable, and many upsides to online drawing instruction! I thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the privacy of my own home experimenting with different media and styles. Highly recommend!

Question from joanna m.
Hello, I would like to learn illustration/drawing mostly figures easy pictures for a children's book I am writing. Do you think these classes would benefit me?
Answer from Christine C. Verified Student
No. This class focuses more on fine art type drawing (think still lifes of fruit and small objects) using pencil and charcoal. You won’t draw anything (or draw in styles) that would match a children’s book.
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi Joanna. The school would recommend the Intro to Illustration class.
