Tig welding is a popular method used in bicycle frames and motorcycles.

Great Class! Michelle was incredibly knowledgeable and has a huge wealth of expertise. Very small class size was great too, basically felt like a personal lesson. I'm definitely going to take her other courses in the near future.

The class was exactly what I was hoping for. Michelle started the session by explaining the most important aspects of how welding works and and basics on how to setup the machine. We proceeded to do a number of different types of welds with materials of the same and different thicknesses. At the end I put together some scraps of metal to make something fun or useful. I choose fun. Today I showed it to a friend who welds and he said the welds were really smooth - he was impressed. The outcome of the class was more than expected. I feel confident enough to do a bit of welding on may own but with a friend nearby just in case. The challenges were different than what I expected. Happily so.

I never welded before and this class was great for beginners even though TIG is an advanced technique. Michelle walked us through setups and we spent most of our time welding with both steel and aluminum. The class was really informative, hands on, and a lot of fun. I will definitely take another.

Really enjoyed the energy and pace of the class. Doing a small 2 student group allowed for more a hands on time while still being able to observe another beginner at work. Michelle is very knowledgeable, a great instructor! I highly recommend all of her courses.

Michelle is a brilliant instructor. Maybe its an alignment of idiosynchrocies, or maybe shes just THAT good, but the way she was explaining welding to me and the one other person in my lesson felt like she had mined decades of experience-ore, melted it down, poured it straight into my head, then welded the ends seamlessly. I had never done any welding before and took the class to learn more so I can make adjustments to my motorcycle project, definitely need to practice more but I think I got a pretty good foundation thanks to the one, the only, MG

We just took Michelle' Tig welding class and i can tell you that it was the most informative, hands on class i have taken in a long time. As a professional Blacksmith, I found myself in dire need of being able to tig weld. My ability at Mig welding is fair but for some of the stuff we need to do now i need much cleaner and stronger welds. I found Michelle on Course Horse, I am also a course horse teacher (Brandr Forge - Basic Blacksmithing ). I read her profile and decided she was the one to teach us (Myself and my two apprentices). She did not disappoint. She started with the basics, everything from setup to what we need for the particular work we are doing. She gave us a quick demo on torch position and rod position and we were off to the races. Within two hours we were laying down beads with full penetration. I highly recommend Michelle if you want to learn welding fast. She as over 30 years of experience and it shows!!!!!
