The class is unique because it is "limited to 2 people". You will receive individual help. The class is taught by an artist who has experience teaching both sculptors and welding certification for Unions. She is a Part-Time Associate Professor at Parsons School of Design, teaching Metal Fabrication. This class is an empowering experience for both beginners as well as people who have experienced welding in the past. The Studio has a wall of open windows for excellent ventilation.
In this class you will set the machine, tack, and run a bead. While learning these skills, you will create a unique small sculpture to take home. We will discuss the many advantages of Mig welding when setting up your own shop, creating furniture, art, fabrication, etc.
