Description
What you'll learn in this photography class:
Learn how to take full control of your camera through creative and challenging photography projects while looking through the camera’s lens with an artistic eye. Our innovative and engaging class structure emphasizes hands-on learning, with in-class demos and exercises inspired by theories and practices from contemporary art. Students will learn about light, exposure, shutter speed, and aperture. Students will learn to take full advantage of their camera’s manual functions and have a deeper understanding of the artistic possibilities of photography. Projects include shooting experiments with light, shutter speed, creating silhouettes, mirror abstractions, portraiture, still lives, under & over exposure and much more. Students will learn basic editing techniques, how to import and export their work and print final artworks.
Projects last 4-5 weeks and become incrementally more challenging as instructors shuffle the subject matter, media and digital techniques to creating stunning digital artworks.
Software & Tools: Students must bring their own camera. Computers and editing software are provided by One River School.

Refund Policy
- Students who wish to withdraw from a class or program will receive a full refund upon receipt of notification 15 business days prior to the start of a class or workshop minus a $35 handling fee.
- After the first week of classes, Students can receive a 50% refund.
- No refunds will be issued after the second class.
A full refund will be given if the school cancels a class or the class or workshop is filled before your registration is received.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
