What you'll learn in this handbuilding class:
Hand-building is an ancient art of creating objects out of clay with just simply your hands and some basic tools. Unlike wheel- throwing, hand-building allows for numerous variations in form so come in ready to experiment and explore.
This 3-hour beginner workshop will show you some basic hand building clay methods to get your started with this beautiful and versatile material.
We will cover the pinch, coil and slab methods and use them to create a mug, bowl, plate or similar vessel.
All tools and materials included.
We are a working art studio and the student should always come dressed in clothes that can be dirtied, are comfortable and do not have hanging pieces or parts that can be caught in machinery.

Refund Policy
For classes with more than 4 sessions:
- To receive a 95% course refund, requests must be received at least 15 business days prior to the first session.
- To receive a 75% refund, requests must be received at least 8 business days prior to the first session.
- To receive a 50% refund, requests must be received at least 4 business days prior to the first session.
- No refunds, transfers or application of fees to future classes are granted from and after the date of the first class. NO EXCEPTIONS
The school reserve the right to cancel any class with less then 5 students. In the event of cancellation, class transfer and/or store credit will be issued.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

I LOVED IT. Tina was great stressing that clay is forgiving - you dont like it, you start over.
it was a comfortable, fun, relaxing time with clay. I dont consider myself to be a creative type so I made your basic bowl shapes and then i got brave, pinched a spout and put a handle on it...voila, a creamer. And you know what, i left feeling creative!!
I cant wait to pick up the finished pieces and use them at my dinner table !
