What you'll learn in this handbuilding class:

Hand-building is an ancient art of creating objects out of clay with just simply your hands and some basic tools. Unlike wheel- throwing, hand-building allows for numerous variations in form, so come in ready to be creative, experiment and explore.

These 2 hour workshops are part of an ongoing series that will cover different hand building methods, as well as various decorating techniques like carvings, sgraffito and glazes. You can sign up for one class or all.

*If you wish to sign up for only one class there will be a $20 surcharge to have your pieces fired and completed, otherwise we will not keep them. If you sign up for 3 or more Hand-Building Workshops there will be no surcharge.

All classes are multi-level but you must take a beginner workshop if you’ve never worked with clay before signing up for these workshops.

All tools and materials are provided.

We are a working art studio and the student should always come dressed in clothes that can be dirtied, are comfortable and do not have hanging pieces or parts that can be caught in machinery.
