What you'll learn in this handbuilding class:

Students attending this class will learn classic ceramics techniques used to make teapots, vases, coffee mugs, and practically any functional and sculptural works they can imagine.

Good teacher. Fun activity. Tools were all handy, clay ready and good set-up. I look forward to being able to use the wheel. One thing I’d change: it would be nice to be able to select which glaze/color will go in our pot/mug/bowl. Thanks

This place seems to be pretty unstructured, and the woman by the front desk was pretty rude too. However, the space itself is clean, spacious and comfortable to be in.

I think it was over priced, considering that you have to pay extra to take what you've built after $75 worth class for pottery.

This class is basically paying $75 to play with clay. The teacher did not really guide us except to tell us what we couldn't make, and if you pay extra to keep a piece you make, you don't get to pick the color of your glaze. It was a fun activity to do with a friend or significant other, but it's odd that this class is priced the same as the wheel class which includes much more technique instruction.

Although I had a good time, I don't feel like the amount of instruction was worth the cost of the class. I wanted more information on different clays and forms you could build with handbuilding along with more interesting techniques. I also didn't like that you had to pay an extra $15 on top of the $75 to keep your piece. That being said the studio space was nice and I think it would be good to take a longer class here and probably more worth the money.
