What you'll learn in this clay class:

This course offers instruction to students of all levels in modeling the human form. Working from the live model, students will sculpt a standing, seated, or reclining figure or a portrait head. Both water-based and oil-based clay will be provided, as well as armatures, as needed. Students using water-based clay can have their completed sculptures fired in the school kiln.

Clay and armatures are included. Bringing sculpting tools is recommended.

Refund Policy
100% refund will be issued up to seven days after the first class. After this, no refund will be issued.

Unfortunately, we do not offer makeup classes. The instructor can tell them what they missed. Most of our classes are taught atelier style. If there is a demonstration during the particular session, after the demonstration the instructor goes to each student to work with them on a one-to-one basis. During this time the instructor can work with the student who missed the previous week, talk with them and explain what to do.

This was a great class! Great to have two teachers, so that everyone could get guidance. Definitely recommend and will be taking it again! Do wish it was a little smaller in terms of the number of students. But otherwise, I learned so much from Jesse and Cynthia, they were amazing. They each have there own way of doing things, which at first can be a bit confusing. But in the long run, I think it's really beneficial because you get two different methods & two different design eyes to guide you. I learned so much in this class and was shocked at how much progress I made in the end!

This is a great class for both beginners and experienced sculptors. Laid back vibe with knowledgeable teachers.

THIS IS A GREAT CLASS! Cynthia is an amazing teacher. The structure of the class is pretty loose, which is perfect for people who like to learn from doing, rather than from endless demonstrations and lectures. Perfect for beginners! I had never touched clay before taking this class and Cynthia and the other students made me feel incredibly comfortable and I ended up with a piece I am very proud of. If you have any interest in figurative sculpture, but no idea where to start, TAKE THIS CLASS! You won't regret it.
