Make one-of-a-kind holiday gifts for your friends and family (or yourself!) and learn how to take a basic t-shirt and denim to the next level with one of the hottest trends in fashion: hand embroidery! In this beginner-friendly, absolutely no experience necessary class, you will learn the basics of hand embroidery, from how to set your hoop to how to make your first stitches.
In this class, you’ll learn a few basic stitches and techniques, how to create and transfer your design, how to select the perfect thread, and how to begin and end your project.
You'll also learn the fundamentals of composition so you can expertly apply cool, personalized designs to your tees and denim (or any other item of clothing you want) to create your own unique and on-trend look!
All supplies for this class will be provided, including a vast range of colorful embroidery threads, notions, and lots of beginner-friendly embroidery patterns (and you can also bring your own ideas of course! Just know that you might have to finish more complicated designs at home, but don't worry, you'll take enough supplies with you to complete the project). The only thing you need to bring is a tee or denim from your wardrobe to embroider on (you are welcome to stitch on any other item of clothing instead!).
Lite refreshments will be served.
Please Note: Bring comfortable clothing, apron and snacks, a blanket if we're sitting on the grass.
In the event that an instructor or the school needs to cancel at the last minute, students will receive a refund less a 5% non-refundable registration fee.
