What you'll learn in this dumpling class:

Discover the flavor-packed world of dumplings!

Master the basics of dumpling wrapping in different shapes including triangular, wonton and pleated crescent. You’ll get a chance to work with high-quality store-bought dumpling wrappers. You’ll also get to practice your knife skills and learn how to make your own fillings (vegetarian options are available). Find out about our favorite resources in NYC for sourcing ingredients and basic equipment for dumpling making at home.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing). You will work with other students in groups of 2-4. 

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you’re part of a large group. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed.

We use ingredients that are easy to find at local markets and equipment available in every home kitchen!

Note: This provider has a temporary cancellation policy for COVID-19 related cancellations which is as follows: 

Tickets are non-refundable but students may reschedule to a future date without a fee. The payment to this class will be stored as credit in our system.

Original cancellation policy (non-COVID-19): 

 Reschedule requests made less than 60 hours before the starting time of each class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more will be charged a rescheduling fee of $20/person. Tickets are non-refundable.

Hi there! This is not a fully vegan/vegetarian class. But there are two kinds of fillings in this class. One of them is vegetarian.

Hi I’m visiting from the UK and would be really interested in attending one of the classes (particularly the dumplings class on Sunday 25th). However I am only 19. Is this a problem? I see that there is an age restriction to over 21 but I was wondering why this is and if there’s anyway it could be overcome? Thanks in advance. Very best regards.

We enjoyed Christine and her assistant - embarrassed I forgot her name - but found the space a bit off-putting. Chairs were too close together and the tables not big enough to work efficiently. Next time, they should turn off the TV (I asked the bartender about halfway through the class). The kitchen was noisy - I know they have to keep working, but it was distracting. We learned a lot and had a blast, so overall it was great! Roger

I thought the class was great, a lot of fun for not a lot of money. The location made it a little tough to hear Cynthia when she was talking, but she could not have been sweeter and was very informative. Both dumpling ingredients were delicious and there were some terrific takeaways. Would definitely take another class!

My sister and I had a great time. We met wonderful people and had fantastic hand made dumplings - steamed and fried. Creating 9 different styles of closures and 2 filling gave us the confidence to do this on our own. My sis said she would definitely take more classes back home in Atlanta. And I will here in NY as well. Thanks for the inspiration!!
