Do you waste too much food? Are your shopping bags bigger than your cooking chops? Learn how to Cook More, Shop Less, and Waste Nothing! Join us for a special January Pantry Challenge* edition of Teaching Table’s acclaimed Cook with What You Have Improvisational Cooking Class.
This hands-on team-based cooking class will reveal Teaching Table’s secrets for cooking spontaneously with what you have in your freezer, pantry or from your local produce haul. Participants will work in teams to develop a main dish, small plate or dessert using the available ingredients. Teaching Table will equip you with templates and techniques for composing dishes and developing flavor profiles and provide a safe space for taking risks with lesser known ingredients. You will also learn tips for organizing your pantry and utilizing these strategies at home. After this class, you’ll be ready to audition for Chopped, will free yourself from recipes or will at least be able to free up some space in your freezer.
* A pantry challenge is committing for a period of time to cook and eat the food you already have without grocery shopping (or eating out!) until you have done so. There are varying degrees and we can help you achieve your goal, whatever it is.
Note: Registration form will be emailed to participants upon sign-up.
