What you'll learn in this kids cartooning class:
Calling all creative kids who are comic book, manga, and cartoon lovers. If your child is eager to express themselves creatively AND have FUN in the process while making their very own comic, manga and cartoon drawings, this class is the perfect fit! Join NYC's #1-rated art studio, The Art Studio NY, as your child taps into their authentic expression and learns to express themselves through artwork that inspires them most! Kids in this inspiring, fear-free and non-judgemental art class will explore and practice a wide variety of comics, cartoon and manga drawing techniques, including line quality, dimension, storyboarding, text bubbles, figures in motion, how to capture facial and body expression, communicating feeling and mood, storytelling through drawing, personal style, and more. Artists will create their very own comic strips and develop their own unique characters!
In this engaging, inspiring comics, cartoons, and manga drawing art class for kids in NYC, participants will:
- Be nurtured and inspired with expert one-on-one joyful art instruction from a professional artist and educator that our NYC art studio is known for
- Learn a wide variety of comic, cartoon, and manga drawing techniques combined with the encouragement for personal self-expression in drawing
- Develop their own unique, personal drawing style while learning how to draw faces, living figures in motion, character development and more
- Receive personalized instruction while creating story boards, unique story characters, text bubbles, and personalized one-of-a-kind comic strips
- Learn a wide variety of artistic drawing techniques and art vocabulary unique to cartoons, comics, and manga art
- Unlock personal imagination while creating unique works of art that freely express their ideas and vision

Refund Policy
Class tuition is neither non-refundable nor transferable. No refunds will be issued after registration and payment. In case of a Medically Certified illness, a credit will be issued after receipt of your physician’s documentation. The value of the credit will be for the balance of the remaining class sessions with an additional deduction of a $95 registration fee. Credit may be used up to 12 months.
If after your first class you are dissatisfied with the quality of your course, a written note must be submitted within 1 business day after your first class. After receiving your note, refund of class tuition will be reviewed by our staff. If a refund is granted, processing of refunds requires 8-10 weeks. A 5% nonrefundable processing fee will be applied.
Course Cancellations
Although course cancellation is quite rare, The school reserves the right to cancel classes or change instructor assignments and makes every effort to notify students in advance. If enrollment goals are not met, a course may be canceled up to 1 business day before the first scheduled class. In the event of cancellation, a refund or credit is granted. On occasion, a course start-date will be pushed back if enrollment goals are not met. In this instance, you will receive a credit for the price of the class that did not take place.
Please note that there will be NO exceptions to this under any circumstances.
Make-up Policy
Unfortunately, The school does not offer any makeups for classes missed. However, if the student wants to get the most from the course and the absence, they can tell the instructor when they will be absent and the instructor can provide some guidance on exercises to practice while away.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
