Description
What you'll learn in this kids drawing class:
New to art? Learning how to draw is the single most important, first step to start kids on their artistic journey., as well as being essential, it's the tool you need before moving on to more complex media like painting or digital art! Learning how to draw what you see, learning how you see, and capturing what you see on the page will inspire your journey! This class will get kids motivated and keep them curious and inspired and is excellent for developing observational skills and confidence! Perfect for absolute beginners or those who wish to practice the art of drawing. We advise a full class course to really see progress or at least six lessons.
Sample Class Format
- We will start our course with essential principle drawing exercises where you will learn how to develop techniques to achieve proportion, perspective, line, form, shading, and rule of thirds, using a combination of pencil, charcoal, and inks.
- Drawing ellipses, cylinders and hemispheres teaches you how to employ horizontal lines & vanishing points and see shape and form, and value.
- After these exercises, we will apply what we have learned as we move on to drawing from observation where we will capture everyday objects in our own fully realized compositions.
What To Bring
- All Drawing supplies are provided: the use of paper, pencils, charcoal, pastels and inks.
- However we do recommend purchasing your own personal sketchbook or notepad to practice at home and track your progress.

School Notes:
Health + Safety Updates:
- The wearing of Masks + face coverings are now optional for all staff + students for all classes and events.
- Those who prefer to wear a face covering in class are encouraged to do so. *Therefore please do not assume that those wearing a mask are unvaccinated.
- Students + staff, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask when:
- Returning to CWAS on the sixth day after testing positive for COVID-19, through day 10 after symptom onset or date of positive test, whichever is earlier.
- Exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.
- Students + staff, regardless of vaccination status, are strongly recommended to wear a mask:
- When they were exposed to someone with COVID-19, whether the exposure occurred in the studio or outside the studio. The person should wear a mask for 10 days after their last day of exposure and get tested at least 24 hours apart on day 4 and day 5 of their exposure.
- When they are moderately to severely immunocompromised and masking is recommended by their healthcare provider.
- We will continue to ask students NOT to attend our programs when exhibiting any symptoms of illnesses that would be contagious.
Health + Safety Practices:
- We continue to ask anyone attending our programs and events to follow best practices when it comes to general health + safety protocols.
- Pick-up + drop-off personnel must remain outside the studio to help reduce traffic at our studio + keep everyone safe! If you have anyone picking you up please let them know to collect you outside the studio.
- Thorough cleaning and sanitizing protocols will remain in effect throughout our studio.
- We continue to ask students to follow good hygiene habits, including the use of hand sanitizer. Hand-sanitizing stations will remain throughout our studio.
- We encourage all students to wash their hands upon entry to the studio and to use hand sanitizer.
- We continue to ask students to be respectful + kind to each other at all times.

Refund Policy
Cancellation + Rescheduling Policy for In-Person Classes:
We do NOT offer any refunds at Creatively Wild Art Studio after registration.If you have booked a full course with us, If you need to reschedule a class, you can purchase a rescheduling Ticket: https://www.creativelywildartstudio.com/rescheduling-requests
$25 per rescheduled class/ per person. You can reschedule a single class within 24 hours of the class start time.
If you booked only a single-day class, you can also reschedule only if your request/ ticket is booked more than 24 hours ahead of your class start time.
If you submit a ticket within 24 hours of your class start time, your request will NOT be accommodated.
Please view schedules on our website according to your age group and pick the class and date you are switching to. If the class is not running or for some reason, the class is NOT available, you will be contacted via email and offered an alternative date.
Rescheduling Tickets are NOT VALID on Online Classes, Toddler Classes, Private Classes or Party events ( see our studio policies for these policies)

Rescheduling tickets received last minute, within the 24 hours time frame, or after the class has taken place are invalid and you will not be entitled to a refund, credit, or any rescheduling.
Rescheduling tickets are valid for all regular group classes held live in our studio for Adults, Kids, or Teens
Rescheduling Tickets are NOT VALID for Toddler Classes, Private Lessons, Online Classes , Camps, Parties or any other events at Creatively Wild.

To Reschedule a FULL COURSE
Please contact us via EMAIL to request. As per our studio policies, NO refunds are offered after registration.
In the case of a FULL CLASS COURSE cancellation after registration, there is a rescheduling fee of $ 75 and a credit will be issued for the amount less this fee.
Credits must be used within 6 months of issue and will NOT BE VALID after this time.
