Ready to start speaking conversational Russian? Join our Beginner Russian 1 course at Cricket eLearning and master the basics of reading, writing, and speaking in no time. Whether you're a complete beginner or need a refresher, this small group class will give you the confidence to introduce yourself and have basic conversations with native speakers.
Maybe you’ve been dreaming about going to St. Petersburg, or you’ve taken a decade off learning Russian. Either way, you’re ready to change that!
Beginner Russian 1 is perfect for you if you're completely new to the language and you want to get the basics down to start speaking conversational Russian.
WHO THIS CLASS IS FOR
Start here if you've never studied Russian before or if you've taken a decade off and need a refresher.
HOW YOU'LL LEARN
With a small group (averaging six students per class and capped at ten), you'll have an opportunity to engage in conversational Spanish with other language learners with realtime feedback from the instructor.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
Basics of reading and writing Russian. Decline nouns in nominative and prepositional cases. Conjugation of verbs in present tense. Noun and adjective case. Number and gender agreement. Demonstrative and possessive pronouns in the nominative case. 7-letters and 5-letter spelling rules.
WHAT YOU'LL LEAVE WITH
By the end of our level one course, you'll be able to introduce yourself to native speakers, talk about your family, and what you like to do in your free time.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

In the event that an instructor or the school needs to cancel at the last minute, students will receive a refund less a 5% non-refundable registration fee.
Transfers (level transfers)
If you’re in an incorrect level placement for a language class, we’ll make sure to get you into the right one!
Email us at [email protected] before the second class of your course and we'll transfer you to the appropriate level.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
