Description
What you'll learn in this foraging class:
Foraging Extraordinaire Paul Tappenden and mycologist/mushroom enthusiast John Michelotti will be leading us in 2 walks where you'll learn how to identify and sustainably harvest the wild plants and mushrooms of the season. The day will culminate in an communal meal using the herbs, plants and fungi that we gather during the day. Paul will further discuss how to prepare and cook some of the foods that we gather.
SCHEDULE
10:45-11:00am - Quick Welcome and Orientation
11:00am-1:00pm - Foraging Walk with Paul Tappenden
1:00pm-2:30pm - Lunch Break/Free Time (many local restaurants to choose from in Woodstock and Phoenicia)
2:30-4:30pm - Wild Mushroom Walk with John Michelotti
4:30pm-6:00pm - Meal Prep and Instruction on how to Prepare Wild Foods
6:00-7:30pm - Dinner (included in tuition; BYOB)
Please Note: Accommodation is not included in the price.

- Cancellations made with at least 8 business days notice qualify for a full refund less 5% cancellation fee or may use the credit towards a future class of the same or lesser value, within 6 months.
- Cancellations made within 2 to 8 business days of class may use the credit towards a future class of the same of lesser value, within 6 months.
- Cancellations made with less than 2 business days prior notice do not qualify for a refund or class credit.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
