What you'll learn in this garden class:

Some Instagram accounts can make it seem like maintaining an indoor garden is a mystic power, gifted to few through divine providence and proportionate to the amount of white paint on the walls. In reality, the secret to keeping your houseplants green and happy is understanding the science behind their growth and sustenance, and learning to recognize the tell-tale signals that let you know what your plants crave. Of course, it also helps to have a magical device to take the guesswork out of it all. In this class you will receive such a device, as well as instruction on how to properly wield it. Utilizing that empty flower pot you have lying around, you'll get hands-on experience replanting an exotic yet death-resistant tropical to start your plant collection. Additionally, you'll learn the basics of plant physiology, proper nutrient usage, common treatments for pests and diseases, and how to pick the right plants for any Brooklyn desert oasis.

Refund Policy
If you're looking for a refund or class credit, you need to back out of the class a full week before it starts. (No exceptions!) We know it's draconian, but since we aren't charging an arm and a leg and have to buy all our materials in advance, it's kinda hard to deal with last-minute bailings.

We also can't transfer registrations to a future session of the class. Sorry!

Instead of dropping out if you have a schedule conflict, a better idea is to ask around and see if any of your friends want the spot. We can't give you a refund less than a week out, even if there's a wait list for the class.

Regarding bad weather, we generally only cancel classes if the subway system stops running. If traveling during snowstorms might be an issue for you, please take this into account before registering for a class.
