What you'll learn in this architecture class:

This digital classroom is intended to introduce the latest tool for preforming a zoning analysis and offers an exciting opportunity to learn and appraise zoning techniques for architects, engineers and urban planners, as well as real estate professionals. The course reflects on how analytics has been adopted to solve zoning problems as directly influenced by dramatic technological advances in understanding a given asset and building type.

The course provides an overview of the New York City Zoning Resolution (NYC-ZR) and will examine relevant provisions most commonly evoked for commercial, residential and industrial parcels. Finally, the class reveals how a new analytic tool called 'Zonar' will assist architects, planners and engineers allows design professionals to assess bulk limitations.
