What you'll learn in this business management course:

Examine your strengths, weaknesses, desires, and definition of success in order to develop a business description that will guide you through the planning process. Find the perfect name for your business; learn how to obtain licenses, permits, and tax identification numbers; and set up your business as a legal entity.

Note:
Check room postings in the lobby of Marvin Feldman Center (27th Street between 7th and 8th Avenue), by security (please tell security where you're going. Bring your order form to show.), or call the day of class for room locations: 212-217-8741 or 212-217-3334.

Setting a Course for Your Business
Reviewed by Laura W. on 11/12/2015
I thought this course would involve students talking through the business challenges they were facing, but there was very little of that. It was more of a business crash course, which was useful too. We never discussed choosing a name for our business, which was in the course description. The other students seemed secretive about their business ideas, which seemed silly to me. I would have liked more individualized discussion than Business 101.
