What you'll learn in this database training:
You've gotten your feet wet with SQL - now it's time to move on to the next level.
After taking this course, you should be able to say you're "Good at SQL." If someone asks you to pull some data from a database, or to perform some analysis, or to review their SQL query, you should feel confident that you can get the job done.
We will spend half the first class reviewing material from "Introduction to SQL" (since it's easy to get rusty), then move onto newer and better things.
We will cover:
None of these concepts matter unless we can solve real-world problems and business questions with them, so that is where we will spend the majority of our time.
Important information:
To take this course, you MUST have taken "Introduction to SQL" or know the concepts that we covered extremely well. You must know SELECT, FROM, WHERE, GROUP BY, HAVING, ORDER BY, LIMIT, each type of JOIN, and finally aggregate functions. Otherwise this course will be a waste of time and money.
We do not cover data engineering in this course (it will be a separate workshop)
Prerequisites & preparation:
