What are some of your most popular classes that you offer on CourseHorse?
Our most popular classes are Tumbler, Neon Weekend, and One-day Glassblowing.

How long have you been in business? Can you share a bit more about your history?
Brooklyn Glass officially opened the doors to the public in 2011. Since then, we have welcomed glass-workers from all over to hone their skills as well as students who are interested in picking up a new art form.

What is your average class size?
Our average class size is 6–9 students.

What is your typical student like? What are their goals?
Our students are typically diversed: college students, parents, kids, couples, etc. Overall, they all share the similar desire to try a new art form and learn a new skill.

Can you recommend activities to do in the neighborhood before or after class?
I would recommend Table 87 (fabulous pizza place/bar located on 3rd Avenue and 9th Street in Brooklyn). We have had many students and workshop attendees head over there after the course is over.

Free Form Vessels

The class was great and the instructors were friendly, professional, and genuinely seemed to like teaching. It’s a real introduction into glass blowing and we made paperweights and bowls. I just wish the class started on time - while I know they want to wait for latecomers, everyone else ends up waiting. Definitely worth the money and travel though!

Absolutely wonderful class - if you're on the fence, stop considering and sign up! The time flies, it's a lot of fun. Course instructors are very friendly and informative. The shop puts safety first, but still keeps the class fun. I just got home, but am already thinking about signing up again!
