Description
Cooking with Kids NY classes are an opportunity for small chefs to take a culinary and sensory adventure around the world. The children will do all food preparation and use common kitchen tools in our hands-on classes, and come away with greater confidence in cooking and eating new foods. We use no nuts or nut-based products in the recipes, and we are conscious and diligent in accommodating allergies.
Cooking with Kids was created from a love of cooking, a love of teaching children and a love of expanding the minds and palates of others! We offer "Cooking around the World" classes in many schools and we teach private and group classes for scout troops and groups of friends!
We have seen children eat new foods, gain confidence in their newly-developed skills and even tell their moms to get the recipes!!! When children are given guidance and freedom to prepare their own food, they have more investment in eating it! Plus, when they see their friends eating new food and enjoying it, there's more incentive for them to try!
It is no secret that children learn by doing rather than being told about something. We introduce math, science, geography and sensory experiences in the context of cooking. Try us and see!
