Merri Sugarman is a Casting Director at Tara Rubin Casting. This office is currently casting the Broadway and National tours of: Jersey Boys, Billy Elliot, Shrek, Mamma Mia!, Mary Poppins, Young Frankenstein, The Little Mermaid and The Phantom of the Opera. Past projects include: My Fair Lady, The Pirate Queen, Les Miserables, Spamalot, Spelling Bee, The Producers and Guys and Dolls to name a few.

Musical Theater Audition Master Class with Merri Sugarman

In addition to her current and immeasurable knowledge of the industry, Merri Sugarman presented an honest environment that challenged the class to not be afraid to fail, which I feel brought the best work sessions out of all of those in attendance. Everyone had something insightful to take away from her class, and I would recommend it to any of my friends doing the daily audition grind like myself.

This course is full of valuable information. It's no frills and you get straightforward and honest feedback and suggestions from a real broadway casting director. Not for the faint of heart though, be prepared to work.
