A great class with a wonderful, funny, talented instructor. Loved that it was grounded in academia but still free spirited and fun.

I had just come back to New York from a long time in the Mid west and was sick and tired of being away from ART for so long. Dan’s classes in still life and perspective really charged me up for more painting, and Dan’s connections to the art and poetry scene were really valuable in and of themselves. Dan is a really empathetic person and a terrific teacher. …a really kind and warm person whose door is always open. I almost feel like I can just walk in and do some art with the master. Very cool experience!

I started taking classes with ArtClassBklyn.com in the heat of the summer, and with the heat and humidity, I really needed to escape the tension of the city. We met in the cool of the Brooklyn Museum, where Dan really enriched my artistic understanding with a keynote lecture about my favorite artists, after which we strolled over to Beautiful Prospect Park. There we worked tirelessly on our landscape paintings. Dan is a real art buddy—he will lecture like a pro, and then you find him working right along side you out in the field. I found Dan’s cool personality and the experience of our time together to be a richly rewarding experience. His lectures about landscape and the figure were really first rate, and I highly recommend enrolling in this class.
