Born by the sea, I’ve lived surrounded by desert, then snow, next to Mexico, in the middle of the ocean, and now New York City.

I grew up in the art world thanks to my mother being an artist. While creating paintings and drawings in my free time, I worked at a top art gallery in Southwest Texas for 7 ½ years.  I was happy to see artwork go home to people who loved it. Yet, I had a longing to improve MY art through academic training. So I left and spent years being instructed by some of my favorite contemporary realism artists.

Fast forward and here I am, a New York City artist. I love painting faces, flesh and fabric. The more tactile I can make a painting feel, the more I’m satisfied with it! I feel blessed to make art every day, and look forward to the next day to continue my projects. Traveling to teach workshops is also something I can’t believe I get to do.
