Lisa Dinhofer

Teaches at National Academy School of Fine Arts

Dinhofer graduated magna cum laude with honors in painting from Brandeis University. She participated in the summer program at Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture for two years and received her MFA from the University of Pennsylvania in 1976. She also teaches at the Pratt Institute. Dinhofer has exhibited nationally and internationally in solo and group shows at the Rahn-West Museum, WI; Schmidt-Bingham Gallery, NY; Denise Bibro Fine Art, NY; the Albright Knox Museum, Buffalo, NY; and the New Britain Museum of American Art, CT. She has also been featured in exhibitions in Kobe, Japan and Munich, Germany. Her paintings are represented in many public and private collections including the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Forbes Magazine Collection, City College (CUNY), and the Dupont and IBM Corporations. In 2003, she was commissioned by the MTA to create a mural for the 42nd Street subway station serving the A, C and E trains.
