Bob Grese & Jessica Arcate Schuler

Bob Grese, MSLA, is a professor in the School of Natural Resources & Environment at the university of Michigan and Director of the university's Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum. He is the author of Jens Jensen: Maker of Natural Parks and Gardens (1992) and has written widely on the prairie style of landscape gardening. He is a long-time teacher and advocate of ecologically-based design that respects the cultural and natural history of a region.

Jessica A. Schuler, Director of the Thain Family Forest, is responsible for the management of the 50 acre urban old-growth Forest including ecological restoration and the development of education and research programs. She earned a BS from Cornell University and is an ISA-certified arborist.
