After a successful  career as a journalist and writer, Elizabeth Minchilli launched her popular blog, Elizabeth Minchilli in Rome, in 2010. She has used her stories, photography and video as a platform for her best selling app, Eat Italy, her  books and Food Tour business. 

Elizabeth has been writing about the joys of Italian life for the last 25 years. She is the author of 9 books on Italy, including her Eating Rome: Living the Good Life in the Eternal City and her most recent Eating My Way Through Italy: Heading Off the Main Roads to Discover the Hidden Treasures of the Italian Table (St. Martins May 2018). Her next book, which continues to explore food in Italy isThe Italian Dinner Party Handbook (Rizzoli USA March 2019.) She is also the author of the best-selling app, Eat Italy, and  has written for over 40 publications including Bon Appetit, Food & Wine and The New York Times. 

Her popular blog, Elizabeth Minchilli in Rome, is where she shares her passion for Italian food, writing about recipes, meals and restaurants. Her food tours , which she has been leading since 2011 have been featured in  numerous magazines and newspapers, including The New York Times.

Elizabeth began leading  market tours in Rome in 2011 to immediate success. In 2015, along with her daughter Sophie, she began offering immersive experiences in Rome and Umbria, and will soon include Puglia, Emilia Romagna and Piedmonte.
