Instructor was good. Wish We got to eat more while we were there! And if would be nice if there was a way they could teach us to make it at home

This was a fun date night adventure. We joined 4 other couples to learn how to make Gelato. The instructor was knowledgeable and kept us entertained. We were able to make 4 flavors and take home 4 pints each. If you'd like to learn a little something about Gelato and have a good time with a date, this is your experience.

Class is entertaining and informative. Designed so that you have to share a mixing bowl so most people go in pairs/couples which is kind of lame and you will be making set flavors of gelato -no experimentation.

Would have liked a variety of gelato flavors like a berry flavor; the instructor was fantastic!
-
The instructor was efficiently running the class. He was clearly knowledgable and we got to go home with a lot of gelato, so don't forget to bring a hot-cold bag!

I bought to tickets to the gelato making class as a holiday gift for my wife. We had a great time. The location is a little hard to find - it is at the address noted on the tickets but it is in the basement of the building - you need to enter into the hair salon on street level and go downstairs. Once class kicked off it was an enjoyable and educational gelato making experience. Be sure to bring a freezer bag or all your gelato-y goodness will melt on your walk home!

My friend surprised me with this course for my birthday. While the location was a bit hard to find since it's located in the basement of a building, the class itself is fun, collaborative and easygoing. Would definitely recommend this to couples, friends or kids. We got to make 4 different gelato flavours, use a professional gelato making machine and take home tubs of gelato at the end. The instructor was nice and funny!

Very fun, very delicious, left with four pints of gelato that my family annihilated in 48 hours but recipes to make a lot more at home!

We took a gelato making class at Mia Chef Gelateria and it was wonderful! Great size class - only about 12 or 14 of us and our instructor Jason was great. He shared lots of details with us about the ins and outs of making top notch gelato and even shared some tips for how to make it at home with what we have!
We took home so much gelato!!

Fun, informative night...with GELATO! A great way to spend an evening!

Really liked the instructor and the class in general. We made four batches of gelato, which got a tiny bit repetitive at the end. And it would have been nice to have slightly more flavor varieties (maybe something fruity?). But overall had a great time and would highly recommend this class.
-
Class was fun. Teacher was very clear on instructions in making gelato. Chocolate, vanilla, snickers and oreo were the flavors. Would nice to have a fruit flavor. Class should tell that the gelato made needs to be put in freezer immediately. Or put in ice.

I didn't enjot

They should include a thermal bag to carry all that gelato back home without freezing
-
it's worth it , I really enjoy it .
ice creams are amazing!!!
Chef is very kind and explains well the basic recipe and how the ingredients work,, after that it gets a bit confusing because he adds the flavous without saying how nor what or when .
After the class they send you an email with some extra recipes.

I enjoy the class and the teacher,I learned a lot about making Gelato, and I was surprise to see the ingredients that makes gelato .
-
An excellent way of learning to make gelato. A good approached between the instructor and the attending learners.exept , most of the scales we had on the workshop weren't calibrated. We had difficulties on pouring the right amount of the ingredient
-
It is OK for someone that would like to know basics. I was looking for a deeper class with more specific and recipes.
-
Really fun time and it's amazing that each person leaves with 4 pints of gelato. The only thing that stop me from giving 5 stars is that I feel like we just made the white base 4 times and the toppings/flavors were added by the instructor, with the exception of the chocolate.

Amazing evening learning the secrets of making gelato. Lots of measuring, tasting and laughs. I would recommend this fun evening for anyone who wants a cool, delicious evening of learning. Perfect for summer nights.

Great way to spend an afternoon.

This course was NOT for people who want to learn about gelato in any culinary or technical way. Mostly for people who want to SEE somebody make gelato, not make it themselves. Sure, you get 4 pints at the end, but it's not worth $100.
Also, my reservation was botched and they offered little remedy.

Both my hubby and i took the course. It is honestly not worth it and too expensive for what it has to offer.
The kitchen is underground with barely air to breathe.
The teacher basically teaches you to make 4 recipes that all end up tasting the same (basic cream ice cream) and then adds the main ingredients alone without explaining to anyone. He never tasted the end result which was really bad for all flavors.
Basically all we learned is that to make gelato you need the 20,000 dollars machine that they have in store.
The teacher was muttering info as if he was forced to teach us without any involvement or excitement that you see in other workshops. Not fun at all!
