Esteban Salazar, Emma Stein Alexandra Lozier & Roxann Astra Slate

Transplanted from Bogota, Colombia to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2001, Esteban is a sculptor, educator, and glass artist producing work that goes from hot-sculpted blown glass objects to art installations of optics and light. In the last twelve years Esteban has worked on unfolding and sharing the knowledge of glassmaking inside and outside of academia. He has been an instructor and a gaffer at the Bay Area Glass Institute (BAGI), and an Associate Teacher at San Jose State University.

Emma received her BFA in 2011 from Alfred University and her MFA in 2013 from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). She works in diverse media including hot glass sculpting, drawing, textiles, and natural materials. Emma has extensive experience teaching hot glass processes to teens having taught for three years at Bucks Rock Visual and Performing Arts Camp.

Alexandra Lozier is a metal and glass artist currently working and residing in Brooklyn, NY. Inspired by the fleeting beauty of nature, she collects, composes, and encapsulates organic found objects. Her work analyzes the ephemeral in an attempt to preserve it. She graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA with a BFA in Crafts, concentration in Metals and Glass in 2010.

Roxann grew up in a family of glass artists. Her parents raised her in an enriching studio environment where she learned the importance of well-crafted art and a commitment to the creative process. She has worked extensively at the Corning Museum of Glass with innovative glass artists from around the world.
