As a native Parisian, Fatiha Bali grew up in the heart of Montmartre. She holds a MA in Information and Communication (with a Major in International Affairs & the Media) from the University of Paris VIII (Saint-Denis). Freelance journalist for some local newspapers in France, she also worked in PR before coming to NYC in 2001.
Freelance translator and a teacher of French for 6 years in a language school in NYC, she has taught French at Columbia University for the MBA and SIPA (School of International Public Affairs) non-degree programs and joined FIAF in 2010. In addition, she has conceptualized curriculum for thematic adult courses about French Media, Arts, and Contemporary Literary works.
She is also a French Lecturer at The New School for Public Engagement and NYU. Fatiha is also a certified examiner for the TEF, TEF for Québec, TCF, ANF and the DELF/DALF proficiency exams, to assess the level of competency in French.
