Jeremy Sigler

Jeremy Sigler was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1968. After earning a BFA from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991, he moved to Brooklyn, where he has lived ever since. Sigler's first two collections of poetry, To and To (1998) and Mallet Eyes (2000), were published by Left Hand Books. Sigler’s two recent full-length collections of poetry are Crackpot Poet (Black Square Editions, 2010) and A…Z (Kingsboro Press). He has worked as John Ashbery’s secretary, has taught at Yale University School of Arts, and has served as an editor for the Swiss art journal Parkett. In 2006 Sigler was awarded a Lannan Foundation Poetry residency in Marfa, Texas. He recently coedited Carl Andre: Sculpture as Place 1958-2010, a full-career retrospective monograph on the poet-sculptor, co-published in 2014 by Dia Art Foundation and Yale University Press.
