Julie Ryan is an artist who lived, ate and cooked in Europe for 10 years before returning to NYC. Years of travel and tasting abroad led her to Bed-Stuy where she spent a year at the amazing SCRATCHbread and has since worked in several kitchens and currently bakes at Brooklyn Kolache and will soon begin as chef at Dillinger’s in Bushwick. In Vienna Austria Julie co-ran Salon am Hof which was multi-disciplinary crossing ground for art, music and food. Julie has also written extensively on art and culture was a long time contributor to Artnet.cm and a contributing editor at index Magazine among others. Last year Julie had a solo exhibition at Show Room Gallery NYC. This morning Julie hand rolled and baked off 600 pastry.
