Michelle Cole is a Brooklyn based dancer, choreographer, educator, and scholar. She has a Masters in Dance Education from New York University- Steinhardt. She has danced, taught, and performed in Miami and Orlando, Florida, New York, and Uganda, Africa. Her dance repertoire includes hip hop, modern/contemporary, African dances, improvisation, stepping and more. Her work "INjustice"(2014) was recently re-staged at the National Theatre in Kampala, Uganda. She is currently an Adjunct faculty member at NYU, teaching Anthropology of Dance. Her scholarly and research interests include: cultural dance pedagogy, musical pedagogy for dancers and addressing diversity in the dance environment.
