Carmen Bouyer

Carmen Bouyer is an environmental designer and artist dedicated to building resilient food systems and collaborative experiences in cities, based on a deep analysis of how to place urban society in better harmony with nature. She has a Masters in Design from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (ENSAD)  in Paris. In 2010-2011 she completed the Environmental Studies program at ParsonsThe New School for Design in New York. Currently an artist in residence at Pioneer Works, she is passionate about new forms of creative city living and works on developing sustainable urban agriculture, restorative landscape experiences, resilient food access and collaborative services. In her work, in France, Japan, Turkey and the USA, she investigates and explores the sustainable food revolution, from production to distribution. She aims to build bridges between efficient technical solutions and subtle artistic practices by shaping ideas and forms in deep relationships with the memory of the land where she works.
