Jenny Molloy

Teaches at Genspace NYC

Jenny Molloy is a Shuttleworth Fellow in the Department of Plant Sciences at the University of Cambridge, researching open approaches to intellectual property in the bioeconomy and access to basic molecular biology reagents in low-resource settings. She has a background in genetic engineering for mosquito population control and more recently, coordination of OpenPlant and the SynBio SRI; two academic programmes in Cambridge focused on synthetic biology and development of open technologies. 

Jenny also co-organises the Gathering for Open Science Hardware (GOSH) and is a Founding Director of Biomakespace, Cambridge's first community laboratory and workshop.
