In my personal viewpoint, it was obvious our instructor was well informed in her talent and wanted to share as much as she could in our short course. I would hope to have a part III session. Thank you, very informative.

While the time devoted to political correctness, the teacher’s personal story and discussion of how and what people wanted to learn was nice and would have been perfect for a semester long college course. However, it felt like it took up more of the class time than content on tarot. Also, it did not seem like the entire class fully understood topics like identifying personal pronouns or the concept of occupying stolen land and there certainly wasn’t enough time to explain those topics when there wasn’t even time to learn each other’s names.
I really wanted to leave the class with a basic idea of how to do a tarot reading so I could practice and I left feeling disappointed as I hadn’t learned anything of the sort. I feel like that goal (if indeed that was the intended purpose of the class) could have been better accomplished if the teacher had done a sample reading of the major arcana with the students participating by giving explanations of when the cards they were told to study popped up.
The teacher was clearly extremely well versed and knowledgeable so it seemed like a shame to leave the class without feeling like I had gained any usable knowledge.

Leah was great. Very informative. Can’t wait to take 102
-
Very informative and the instructor was caring.
-
-
Instructor very informative and stayed on point.

i Liked your class. I hope tarot 102 will go through how to intrepet all the cards.. I have a tarot book. and its somewhat makes sence, but you give a little extra. so I enjoyed the class, and I am now going to practice and write down all my impressions.
I also have to figure out how to ask the questions more clearly. I realize I cannot be vague in the question.

Had a lot of fun! The zoom group was interactive and it made the class interesting. I
enjoyed learning about the long history of tarot- who knew??! I would have loved to have seen an actual reading, but I can follow up with the instructor and do that privately.
-
Excellent beginner course. Loved going through deck and learning about meaning of cards and how to use
-
-
The teacher was very nice and knowledgeable but the content of the course was not specific enough for what I wanted to learn
ie learning the individual cards in the deck was what I would have preferred but then we would have needed a longer class
-
-
The class was very easy to follow, instructional but not boring. My favorite part was learning the history of the tarot and the symbolism behind the original Arcana imagery. I walked away much more comfortable with how to use tarot cards.

To make the short seminar efficient, I would suggest that Ms. Koontz provide us with the ground rules for the meeting and keep it going. There is also no need to talk about he/she pronouns in this space.
-
Leah’s class was great, she made a genuine effort to create an inclusive space and I love that participants were encouraged to find the right tarot deck. We weren’t limited to the standard SRW deck or symbolism. Am looking forward to 102.
-
I thought it was amazing and well done. I’m looking forward to the next one!
-
Leah’s class was amazing. She is sensitive to including everyone and meeting their individual needs, while answering questions and giving information. It felt very warm and safe and welcoming.
My only complaint is that it seems too short... I would love the class to be longer!
-
Liked course. Was fun and interesting.
-
The Instructor is extremely knowledgeable & sweet. She was able to provided an environment where we can learn about the history of tarot but, also explore the hidden symbolism. Our participation was also requested in order to absorb the information and answer any questions. Thank you for such a lovely experience.

I didn't even want to give it one star, because I never got to take the class. At the time of the class, I clicked the Zoom link but the instructor never let me into the Zoom meeting. I don't know if she just didn't bother or if the class was cancelled or what. I wrote to coursehorse explaining the problem and asked to either be transferred to another session or given a refund (this was 3 days ago). I never heard back from anyone. If I don't hear back from someone and get this issue resolved, I will NEVER take another course through you, either virtual or in-person. I know things are difficult now with everyone working from home, but SOMEBODY should be checking and responding to emails in a more timely manner.
Thank you!

Great instructor and just the right amount of participants

While Leah is clearly passionate and knowledgeable about Tarot, I feel like class time wasn’t used efficiently for my purposes. I wanted to learn how to read so for me jumping right into practice would have been more helpful than the A lecture on the history.
I think within a digital learning environment it is essential that lecturing be kept to a minimum. Students need the space to talk and to practice.

Thank you so much for the class. My biggest takeaway is to pay attention to the artwork. It has been so many years that ive been pulling a card a day that I am very familiar with the cards meanings via looking it up and researching what has been written but now I think also including what the most common/traditional visual presentation is for the card can really open up deeper interpretation and reflection.

Great class - I learned a lot

Leah was a great teacher, she was great at managing the class on Zoom, and taught my daughter and I a lot. I just ordered a better Tarot set and we'll both look forward to taking her 102 class!
-
Leah is very knowledgable. I liked her approach of focusing on the images in the cards. I would suggest limiting the individual participant introductions at the beginning of the call/class - there were too many people on the call and this took a lot of time. I liked the break out session - very cool way to connect with other participants.
-
I liked how interactive it was despite my having some sound tech issues. Great instructor and very interesting content. I was hoping to have received some more resources as promised by instructor by email to whole class. Will look for it.
-
Tarot 101 was a nice, very brief introduction to the tarot. It was really too short to really explore the material so in that respect I was a little disappointed with the lack of more content. Instructor was very knowledgeable, organized and conducted the class well. She did mention she was going to provide us with some resources which I have not received yet. I’m hoping that will be coming in the next few days.
-
I enjoyed the class. Leah was engaging and interesting. The class delivered what was offered.
-
I’m glad I took the course and I feel that I have a good starting point to understand how to begin my practice (e.g. visual observation then look up the meaning). However, I would have liked to been able to do more reviews of the cards as a class.
-
Great class. It would have been even better if it were longer...
-
The class was very light on content. I think the actual learning was compressed to about five minutes. I expected to learn more about what the cards mean and how to actually use them. We spent a lot of time letting people share which was not interesting or helpful.
-
I really liked the class overall , and the instructor was knowledgeable, but I didn’t like spending 10+ minutes on the introduction of guests. If the instructor wants to know why we r there, have the question in the registration form. Also, I would have wanted to hear her more than the class participants. I get it, interpretation is important, I just didn’t want to hear other beginners, I wanted to hear insight from the instructor.
-
Leah's class was so organized and very clear. The class was tailored to the students' experience levels and interests. She encouraged participation at everyone's own comfort level, and I learned so much from her and my classmates. Cannot wait to sign up for her next class!

I thought I was going to be taught how to read the cards! That didn’t happen.
The group discussed what the cards meant to them. They may nothing to me because I don’t know anything about the cards. I know the history of them where they came from how many years they’ve been around where they came from blah blah blah blah but I don’t know how to read them and that’s why thought the class was about.
She was a very nice person ..But I had to tune out after about 40 minutes into it . I didn’t know what the hell they were talking about!
I couldn’t say much because I was not able to get in unmuted to ask..what’s happening here..???
-
Great. Highly recommend.
-
Most of the class was spent waiting on, and getting to know other classmates as well as setting up weird rules for the class. The teacher stated she'd only been into tarot for a year?! What makes her qualified? I didn't learn anything new in the class. Everything she taught us i learned from 20 minutes of research online the day before.
-
Leah was kindly allowing me to enter the class a little later. She was paying attention to each of us and took time for our questions. Time was not enough to learn everything but definitely a sneak preview of what can come. I loved it.
-
This is a very good class. Totally recommendable. The facilitator, Leah is very good, knowledgeable and engaging. I will go for a second class.
-
Not enough time was spent on the actual material. What was actually covered you could pick up in ten minutes on wikipedia. The course agenda needs to be restructured to be worthwhile.
-
-
This class was less about teaching the tarot and more about leaning into your personal practice with the tarot. Really connecting with your deck and the imagery for readings and interpretations.
-
The instructor was great and lead us to trust our intuition the most when it came to tarot. I respected her inviting and aware nature. She created a safe space for us all to learn and collaborate. Definitely keeping in touch with her! :)
-
While the teacher was knowledgeable, too much time was spent on details and history. This class should have been beginners only. I hope these comments are helpful and the instructor will consider restructuring the class.
-
The class was very informative. I liked that the instructor included the participants in the presentation.
-
want more!!!

Really enjoyed the class and I definitely gained further knowledge regarding Tarot. Ms Koontz is a marvelous teacher and I felt welcomed and listened to! I plan to sign up for the 5/3 class as well.
