Teaches at French Institute Alliance Française

Nathan Pontus is originally from a town called Bitche in the North-East part of France, right on the French-German border. He graduated from the Université de Nancy with an English studies bachelor degree (with merits). During his last year as an undergraduate student, he spent a semester abroad at the University of Wolverhampton (England) and another one at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse.

He moved to the United States to get his Masters degree in French linguistics from Northern Illinois University where he focused and wrote his thesis on Second Language Acquisition. While earning his graduate degree, he was teaching the lower levels of French at NIU, as well as being the Head Native Speaker for the French group of the Foreign Language Residence Program on campus.

He started working with the French Institute Alliance Française after his graduation in June 2014 where he has been teaching teens and adults.
