Peter Kiszka

Teaches at Stepping Out Studios

Piotr Kiszka is an accomplished ballroom dancer. He has been awarded the highest class, “S”, in Latin Dance and class “A” in Standard Ballroom Dance. He spent 4 years dancing in a Latin Formation Team, TAKT, from Chełm. During that period, the team won national championships several times and reached the 5th place at the World Latin Formation Championships. In 2002, Piotr opened his own dance school, MERENGUE. He was then invited to join the cast of the Polish edition of Strictly Come Dancing. He competed during the 3rd and the 4th season of the show, finishing 4th in the third season. At the same time, he took classes and workshops with the world’s leading salsa dancers. His primary mentors and influences included Przemysław Wereszczyński, Frankie Martinez, Franklin Diaz, Dunham Technique Ned Williams Jr., Dunham Technique Craig Joseph and Ruud Vermeij. It wasn’t long before success on the salsa scene came along. In 2010 Piotr won Polish IDO salsa championships and in 2011 he became Polish IDO salsa vice-champion in couples division and world IDO salsa champion in solo shines. His recent appearances include Key Salsa Festival 2011 and Warsaw Salsa Festival 2011. He is also a dancer in Przemek Wereszczyński’s salsa spectacles, “Roots” and “Roots II”.
