Laura Di Piazza (b. 1972, Brooklyn, New York) holds a MFA degree in Interdisciplinary Arts from Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont. Laura teaches calligraphy workshops at Dartmouth College, AVA Gallery and Art center and make Skilled Hands. She has exhibited artwork in Austria, Canada, Germany and the USA. Laura resides in Hanover, New Hampshire with her 3 children and newest addition Kiwi, a Chinese dwarf hamster.

Introduction to Copperplate

I loved this class! It was just marvelous. And I loved hearing about some of the history of copperplate as well. Laura Di Piazza is an absolutely terrific teacher and calligrapher. She really couldn't have been better--she was super professional, but very kind and funny. I left the class feeling so encouraged and incredibly excited about the art of calligraphy and where it might lead.

Really good foundational course to take when starting out in calligraphy. Highly recommend it. The instructor did arrive a little late and she forgot her pen holders and a few other things, but otherwise, the classes were worth taking.
