Rebecca Farber

Teaches at Society of Scribes

Rebecca Farber has been involved with calligraphy in New York since 2005. After graduating from Cornell University in 2004, Rebecca moved to New York and started attending calligraphy classes and workshops. Studies at Cooper Union, the Center for Book Arts, and the Society of Scribes led to joining the board of the Society of Scribes in 2009, where she was on the workshop and web committees. In 2010 Rebecca was awarded a Dancing Letters young adult scholarship for the Odyssey 30th International Calligraphy Conference in Massachusetts. From 2012 to 2013 Rebecca spent 9 months in London studying at the University of Sunderland calligraphy program. She has been a teaching assistant in calligraphy at Cooper Union, and is currently in the Type@Cooper extended program for Typeface Design.
